Share a private preview of your website
Send somebody a private link to the saved draft of your site, so they can see it, and comment on it if you allow, before it goes live. Making a link publishes nothing.
Steps
- Open Websites, pick the site and save your changes: a preview shows the saved draft.
- Press Share preview. Say who it is for, the page it opens on, whether they may comment on blocks, an optional password and how many days it lasts (1 to 90).
- Press Create link and copy it at once: the full link is shown only this one time.
- The same window lists every link with its views and state and the comments people left. Turn off ends a link immediately.
Questions
- Can people find the preview on Google?
- No. Previews are served on a preview host that search engines and AI crawlers are told not to read, and there is no sitemap. Forms on a preview run in test mode, so nothing reaches your lists.
- Can my AI assistant make a preview link?
- Yes, through the EmailPro MCP server with a key that holds sites:write: it can read the site, save a draft version and make or turn off a preview link. It works as the person who created the key, and it cannot publish: going live stays your click.
