Send SMS from your own number

A paid add-on: connect the SMS account you already have, and your texts to Israel go out from your own number. Your SMS provider bills you directly, and nothing is drawn from SMS packages or the wallet. Consent, opt-outs, quiet hours, Shabbat and sender approval stay exactly the same.

Steps

  1. The service is an add-on module, off by default. To turn it on for your workspace, contact us; Settings → SMS shows whether it is active.
  2. Once it is active, open Settings → SMS → "Send SMS from your own number" and enter your SMS account's username, its password and the number you send from.
  3. We check the username and password with your SMS account before saving them. They are stored encrypted and never shown again; the screen shows only part of the username, the sending number and the connection status.
  4. From now on texts to Israel (campaigns, automations, agents and one-time codes) go out from your number. A sender name goes out only if you ask for it, it is approved in the sender list, and your account allows it. Texts to other countries keep their usual route.
  5. "Check connection" tests the saved login again at any time. "Disconnect" returns you to SMS packages from the next text.

Questions

What happens if my SMS account refuses the login?
The connection is marked Failed, texts to Israel are paused (a running campaign pauses too), and the workspace owners get an email. We never fall back to an SMS package without asking: connect again with a working login, press Check connection once it is fixed, or disconnect to send from a package.
What does Expired mean?
The saved login can no longer be read on our side and has to be typed again.
Do I still see these texts in usage?
Yes. Every text is in the usage ledger, marked as paid by your own SMS account, at no cost from us.
